About

Terry Silverman, Esq.
Terry N. Silverman has practiced law in Gainesville since graduating from the University of Florida in 1974. He began his career as an Assistant State Attorney under Eighth Circuit State Attorney Eugene T. Whitworth, later serving as a Special Assistant Statewide Prosecutor. In 1976, he established his own law firm, focusing on civil litigation and criminal defense in both State and Federal courts. Over the years, he has handled a wide range of cases, from wrongful death to federal conspiracy charges, and has gained extensive jury trial experience.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Silverman has become a highly experienced mediator, having mediated thousands of civil cases across North and Central Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia, multiple U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the Eleventh and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal. He has also contributed to the legal community by serving on the Florida Bar Grievance and Fee Arbitration Committees. With his background as a trial attorney, he believes that mediators with litigation experience have a deeper understanding of the challenges attorneys face in mediation.
